Game News! 07/06/19

With E3 just around the corner, there is a ton of game news heading our way. Some of it official, some leaked but it’s all news and it’s all good!
Baldur’s Gate 3
Yes. you read that correctly. Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally coming! How fantastic is that!?
Larian Studios is developing and publishing Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and Google Stadia with next-gen Consoles probably getting a look in at some point in the future. Created in close collaboration with the Dungeons & Dragons team at Wizards of the Coast, Baldur’s Gate 3 is based off current D&D mechanics and spells and is the official new chapter in the legendary series. The game will push the boundaries of the RPG genre and offer a rich narrative with unparalleled player freedom, high-stakes decisions, unique companion characters and memorable combat. It is Larian Studios’ biggest production ever and will be playable together with friends or as a single-player adventure.
Darksiders: Genesis
A Diablo-like Darksiders game? Ok, colour us interested.
In Darksiders: Genesis, the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse Strife is called upon to save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer. True to its roots, Darksiders: Genesis will feature intense combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, epic boss battles and serpent holes from heaven to hell. The game marks the first, full-scale Darksiders adventure played from the top-down perspective.
The character design looked more like Destiny before the actual gameplay kicked in… 😛
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
We will have to wait until next week before we get more in-depth news on this one, but how about a nice box art to tide you over?
Destiny 2
Big changes for Destiny now that the shackles of Activision have been released. It’s going free to play for the base game and all Year One content when the new expansion is released in September. All that nonsense where you need all previous DLC to play new DLC is gone (yay!). Gone is exclusive content (yay!) and from September it will feature cross-save across PS4, XBOX, PC and Google Stadia.
Hopefully, this will get fans back in the game and keep the player base strong. Check out the trailer for Shadowkeep below.
We will be back early next week for full coverage of E3! See you then!
