Game News! 18/06/19

E3 is over but that doesn’t stop the news rolling in. Let’s take a look!
F1 2009
Codemasters continues to improve this series with each release and the 2019 version is shaping up to be something very special!
From the publisher:
“Every year we make great strides so the game is as authentic and immersive as possible and we have surpassed expectations with the quality of the visuals in F1 2019,” said Lee Mather, F1 Game Director at Codemasters. “We also know from fan feedback the classic cars our community want to race and we hope the returning roster, alongside the new vehicles from the Legends and Anniversary editions, will give them the choices they crave.”
F1 2019 features all the official teams, drivers and all 21 circuits from the 2019 season. This year also sees the inclusion of F2 with players being able to complete the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship. The 2019 F2 Championship content will be made available as a free digital update.
Chippy
A change of pace from the developers of Rust as their new game is…
…a twin-stick bullet-hell shooter!! The game presents players with competitive challenges, with the aim to dodge, shoot and ultimately destroy 14 multi-form bosses, fighting their way to the top of the leaderboard.
Chippy features huge retro-style bosses that rain down ridiculous amounts of firepower onto you. Players will need to destroy them by slicing off bigger and bigger sections, piece by piece, pixel-by-pixel, until their core is annihilated. It’s fast. It’s difficult. You’ll die a lot…
Looks interesting.
Mortal Kombat 11
A trailer has dropped for the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat League, an all-new seasonal ranked mode where players can compete against other online Kombatants to earn exclusive in-game rewards. Kombat League will be available from today (18th June), as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 11 owners.
From NetherRealm:
In Kombat League, players compete in ranked matches during a four-week season to progress through nine tiers, climbing from the ranks of Apprentice to Elder God. Players will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items for each unlocked rank. Rewards are cumulative, with players earning all unlocked items up to the highest tier achieved in a given season. Players can also earn in-game items by playing in various daily and seasonal quests. Once a season expires, a new season starts immediately with new rewards and incentives to earn. The optimised matchmaking system in Kombat League will ensure players are matched with opponents at or near their same skill level. As part of the Kombat League update, a new meter has been added giving players a quick look at their odds of winning against an opponent at the beginning of each ranked match.
