Game News! 19/03/19
New week. New games. For Dark Souls and Bloodborne fans, it’s a big week…oh yes.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
What to say about this one…
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an action-adventure game in the vein of other FromSoftware’s games. A big difference though is the game features no role-playing elements, such as character creation, classes, or equipment upgrades. Another change is the combat. Instead of attacking to whittle an enemy’s health points, combat in Sekiro revolves around using a katana to attack their poise and balance instead, which eventually leads to an opening that allows for a single killing blow. Tactical combat at its best. The game also features stealth elements, allowing players to immediately eliminate enemies if they can get in range undetected.
Does it sound easier than the Souls games? It does on paper but we are sure it’s going to be a long hard quest to the end. Releasing this Friday (22nd March).
Do you like Battle Royale games? Do you like cars? If it’s yes to both, then this is definitely for you!
From the publisher:
notmycar drops players onto a massive island battleground where they must outlast the competition to remain the last car standing. Drop, drive and destroy with automotive fury and an arsenal of brutal weapons and abilities in all-out vehicular battle royale mayhem. You’ll need a tight ride and all the cunning, skills and guts you can muster to win the fast-paced, tire-squealing chaos that is notmycar.
Drop: Get a double-shot of adrenaline as you freaking glide your car into each match. Pick the best landing zone on a massive island battleground that gets smaller and smaller, driving all your enemies right into your sights.
Drive: Customize your battlewagon to the nines so your worthless enemies know fear as they spot you on the horizon and remember exactly who blasted them into oblivion. Flags, paint-jobs and more: it’s all up to you.
Destroy: It’s pedal-to-the-metal as you race to snatch the best weapons from caches all over the island. Second place is the first loser, so show no mercy and fight your way to the top of the junk heap to be the last car standing!
This looks gorgeous! Coming soon for PC and Nintendo Switch.
From the publisher:
Fighting through Kunai’s visually enrapturing world is a warrior’s delight, where right off the bat players have ample opportunities to reduce enemies to scrap metal while swinging on ropes across chasms, dashing up walls to lofty goals, and dropping in on unsuspecting targets. Kunai is a super fast paced game from the start, with every badass fight, supremely lethal upgrade and unearthed secret sending the adventure further off the charts.
Players dish out swift death as Tabby, Kunai’s emotive, tablet-powered hero infused with an ancient warrior’s soul. Tabby boots up to find humanity on the brink of extinction thanks to a famed inventor’s botched AI creation, setting out to solve things as any consumer electronic warrior hybrid would: with heaps of violence. Slicing baddies and soaring through Kunai’s sprawling world with Tabby is a joyous escape, and toppling the land’s merciless bosses in all-out showdowns is immensely satisfying.
This is definitely on our must-have for sure list!
