Founders Base – For Indies and Start Ups

If you’re an individual, start up or small company that creates or works with games, come exhibit at Founders Base, GameStart’s special indie area. We welcome developers, artists, crafters and anyone who fulfils the following criteria:
- Annual profit USD 500,000 or less
- A minimum of 30% of booth content must be gaming-related

7QUARK was founded in 2013. It is a game company consisting of Quarkers who are experts in different areas. Quarkers love games and make games with great enthusiasm, as well as being willing to share. We believe that self-demanding and self-improvement are the cornerstone for developing a better game. Innovation and adaption are the principles of company. The games we have are, Mr. Catt (2016), Zombie Hazard (2016), LazyLinkr (2015), Karate Gira (2014) and Super String Girls (iOS, Japan, 2014). We are always looking out for any potential cooperation such as co-production of projects and/or IP collaboration.
Another Indie is a video games publisher based in China. It is a multicultural, multi-ethnic team focused on making their games achieve worldwide success. They focuses on both European and Asian markets to get games noticed in developing markets and help bring games onto the global stage from those markets.
Diceroll Studios was founded by 5 interns from the 2015 batch of the Game Innovation Program, an initiative by the SUTD Gamelab. They are infinitely passionate about creating games that are inspired, creative, and ultimately fun – games that they know that they, themselves, would play. For now, they are focusing on mobile games!
Erotes Studio is a visual novel development team from Taiwan, they provide high quality and excellent user experience visual novel. All of their games are about Taiwanese culture and history. Erotes Studio aims to tell audiences Taiwanese’ own story and feelings, and also want to make more Taiwanese games. The history can be forgiven, but should never be forgotten is the motto they live by.
The team was originally established by a group of college students in 2014 including members joined afterwards who share the same interest in the gaming field. Every member are extremely passionate about designing games. In their perspective, the designs and works are a way of displaying themselves. Games, alike media, can express a story, a fantasy, a dream or a single idea. No matter what it is in their mind, they can for sure spread the thoughts via games.
Fundeavour.com is a platform created to help gamers worldwide get a headstart in eSports, Youtube and livestreaming. Let’s face it, starting out isn’t easy – good gaming gear is expensive, it’s hard to get noticed by new followers and sponsors, and it’s not always clear how to get started. That’s why they provide their gamers with tons of opportunities to learn key tips and tricks, gain exposure, work with gaming brands, and obtain free rewards – all on a single platform! You can also get in touch with others like you to collaborate…they might even be your next best friend.

As a fan of storytelling and graphic design, local artist David Goh often has ideas on reinterpreting scenes or characters from video games and pop culture in graphically unique ways. IMBA Interactive is a Singapore-based sound design studio that is set on creating awesome audio for interactive media. They create original sounds, noises, music tracks, and voice work and implement them into end-products such as games, videos and installations. They pride themselves with a strong understanding of interactive audio and game development processes. Founded in 2013 by the alumni of the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT GameLab, IMBA has since contributed sonically to over forty game titles for the PC, Mac, Playstation, iOS and Android platforms. IMBA has received several awards recognising Excellence in Audio from the Independent Games Festival (IGF) and CasualConnect.
Kaiju Den is an independent game development studio founded by game industry veterans. Located in sunny tropics of Singapore, Kaiju Den is committed to make high-quality VR games with emphasis on originality, immersion and character.

Red Candle games was formed by a group of game enthusiasts from Taiwan. They are passionate about crafting the most immersive gaming experiences through both storytelling and innovative gameplay. The team’s first major title, Detention, is a survival horror game set in 1960s Taiwan under martial law. With simple point and click mechanism, the player control characters who venture into the school beset by hostile supernatural events to uncover stories behind the haunted place. Incorporated religious elements based in Taiwanese/Chinese culture and mythology, the game provided players with unique graphics and gaming experience.
Taipei Computer Association (TCA), established in 1974, is the leading industrial organization in Taiwan. Its 4,000 members engages various fields such as software, hardware, semiconductors and components, manufacture, sales, network communication service, etc., thereby generating over 80% of the total production value of Taiwan’s Information Communication Technology (ICT). TCA offices are located in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung as well as overseas offices in China, Japan and India.
TouchWood Games Co. is a small team consisting of 5 passionate students from Singapore Polytechnic’s Diploma in Games Design and Development. Their first major project, a promotional game for GameStart Asia 2016 called ‘GameStart 2016’ is an action shooter which pays homage to many popular video games and pop culture references. XII Braves is a mobile game studio based in Singapore. Established in 2014, the company began with 12 industry veterans who have worked on AAA mobile games. Having grown since, they now have overseas support teams for increased game operation and production. Their first project is Valiant Force, a turn-based tactical RPG for Android and iOS. Using the 6 classes and 42 distinct jobs, master the aura trigger system and design the ultimate party formation. Customize heroes by equipping them with rare and unique items.
