Versus Masters: Summer Series 2020 Valorant Results

Singapore’s Team Exsequor bested over 64 teams this weekend and nabbed the title of Champion in the Grand Finals!

The Versus Masters: Summer Series Valorant, held online over the weekend of August 2 and 3, saw 64 teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong battle it out and here are the results! 

After the qualifying rounds on August 1, Team Ellusion, Team Exsequor, Team Illusive, and Team Paper Rex made it into the Top 4 rounds where they battled for the title of Champion on August 2. During the Winner’s Finals, Team Paper Rex swept the match and won Team Ellusion 13-3, progressing straight to the Grand Finals, with notable plays by highly-skilled Brxndon who clinched the highest average combat score of 452 and KDA score of 24. 

In the Losers Semi-Finals, both teams were neck and neck, but Team Ellusion edged out a win, defeating Team Illusive 13-10. In the Losers Finals, driven by their hunger for a rematch against Paper Rex, Team Exsequor triumphed over Team Ellusion in a sweeping 13-3.

The Grand Finals was a heated back-and-forth between both teams with an amazing supreme clutch play pulled off in a 1v3 matchup by spykow0w from Team Exsequor in the first set of the grand finals. Ultimately, Team Exsequor secured their victory over Team Paper Rex and claimed their title of the Versus Masters: Summer Series Valorant Champions!
